Good Morning!
Here it is the 19th already! Time flies so quickly! Why is that? Thinking about it only reinforces my belief that it is so important to get those pictures and get them scrapbooked! It is so important for future generations. I am such a firm believer in this. I can only hope that when I'm gone, my children will treasure the albums that I make for them.
My granddaughter and I are working on an album for her. She is 3 and I let her decorate her pages any way that she wants. Not only will she see herself when she was small, she will have her artwork to share with her children some day. That makes my heart warm.
I was going to go to a scrapbook event in my area today and am disappointed that I can't go. I was looking forward to seeing the new Close To My Heart products, making some cards and having a bit of relaxing fun. Oh well, there will be more.
No layouts to share today, but am working on a few and will post them soon. Thanks for reading! Happy Scrapping!

Happy Mothers Day!
Good Morning and Happy Mothers Day! I hope your day is filled with fun, family and "fotos"!
Since I have been on a "heritage" kick lately, I thought I would share some heritage layouts with you. My sister and I started doing our genealogy a couple of years ago. The information we have found is staggering. We found an aunt, my sister called her and she sent us some amazing photographs of family we never knew we had. My cousin, Randy, sent us pictures of my Dad and my Aunt as children. It's a sad story, really. My paternal grandmother abandoned my dad and aunt (the twins) as babies and they up and moved with their other 3 children. My Dad was always told that she had died and we found out that she died the year before my Dad did. How sad that he never knew she was around. Sometimes I wonder if it would have made a difference. This first picture is of my Dad. Since there are no dates, I am assuming that it was taken in 1932/33. The best that we know is that this is when he was in the 'home'. I adore this picture and everyone says that I look just like my Dad. I miss you Daddy!
This picture is my Uncle Warren and Aunt Lena. It was taken in 1943. I am looking for the 'perfect' layout for this one. Warren is my Dad's brother. This is one of my all time favorites although it looks a bit washed out.

Good Morning and welcome to my blog! Are there any two crafts that go together better than Photography and Scrapbooking? I think not.
I love to take pictures. Since my children are all grown and gone now, I mostly shoot my pets. I lovingly call them the "girls". We got Olivia from a puppy mill that was shut down here (YEAH!) We had her for about 3 weeks and then discovered she was pregnant! On the 22nd of February, she blessed us with 3 more girls! Sophia, Grace and Tia. They are now 12 weeks old and the cutest thing on the planet. I'll be sharing pictures.
I shoot with a Canon Rebel XS 35mm camera. I LOVE film photography. Digital is nice for getting those pics on the computer in a hurry but I still prefer film. I also don't 'photoshop' any of my photos. If it didn't come out right, then I take it again. Alot of work? Yes, but I also learn from every shot and the next time it improves.
I also LOVE scrapbooking and there is sooooo much I am learning with this too! I love turning my photos into a memory book or just a fun to look at book for my granddaughter. The possibilities are ENDLESS. In fact, every time I turn around there is a new technique, new idea, a new thing to make. I feel soooo out of the loop!
I am going to become a consultant with Close to My Heart. I adore this company and their products. I LOVE My Acrylix stamps! I love that they are clear and I can see what I'm doing. It makes placement so much easier. I'll be posting specials, my projects and more in the coming months.
Ok, so now I will post 'the girls'. The first one is Grace, Second is Tia and lastly my little Sophia. I hope that you will follow me and enjoy seeing my work. Thanks for visiting!
